Imagine days filled with sunshine, warm ocean waters, and dazzling sunsets. Now, add in a little yoga, a beach walk, a trip to the spa and the fun really begins. Plug in some pilates, healthy meals and optional water adventures and you have a really amazing mother's day getaway.
Airfare and transportation to and from the resort are not included. Nearest airport is Tampa International Airport.
Wednesday, May 1
Arrive in Florida at Tampa International Airport and take a shuttle or taxi to Don CeSar Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach, Florida. Check In time is 4:00 but if you arrive early you can check your bags at the valet stand and just enjoy the resort. Relax on the beach, sun by the pool, take in a spa service Spa Oceana (book ahead of arrival to ensure your spot). Dinner is on your own and the fun begins the next morning when the retreat kicks off.
Thursday, May 2
Thursday morning starts off with breakfast and boot camp. Then, its off to Shell Key Preserve a private island for an Eco Kayak Tour. We will explore mangrove tunnels (Tides Permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, protected bays, and take a break on the island for swimming, finding sea shells, or just relaxing. This beautiful coastal habitat is home to osprey, dolphins, nesting sea turtles, manatees, and a variety of local and migratory shorebirds. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then return to the resort where you will have free time to spa, hang by the pool, take a dip in the ocean or take in some quiet time. The evening is your free time with dinner at the Sea Porch Cafe (included) at the resort at your leisure.
Friday, May 3
Begin the day with breakfast on the patio, followed by beach yoga, taking in the beauty of the sugar sand beaches, the dolphins swimming by, and gentle ocean breezes. Then were are off to explore the beaches of Ft. DeSoto Park where you can choose to paddle board, bike or enjoy the beach followed by lunch. Dinner for today will be an early sunset dinner at a revolving roof top restaurant with the most amazing views of the beach at sunset.
Saturday, May 4
The day starts with breakfast and then a quick ride to play on the bay. We'll start with a boot camp workout and then a fun bike ride on the bay. We'll lunch at an area restaurant by the St. Petersburg marina and, then head back to the resort where you can take a some time to explore the area of relax at the resort. Finally, you can join a late afternoon beach yoga session to top off the day before dinner.
Sunday, May 5
We'll hit the beach for a warm up and boot camp workout, then it's off to breakfast before heading to the airport.
